The Frostburg Parks & Recreation Department is committed to providing quality recreational facilities, programs, special events, and services to the 9000 residents of the City of Frostburg and the residents of the surrounding area.
The City of Frostburg owns and maintains approximately 115 acres of land located within 7 different parks. Included within the parks are: 11 athletic fields, 5 pavilions, 4 playgrounds, a full-size indoor basketball court, 4 outdoor basketball courts, a half-mile walking trail, a rifle/pistol range, two fishing ponds, a 420,000 gallon swimming pool, two special event halls, a bike trail connector to the Great Allegheny Passage, and seven concessions buildings.
The Park and Recreation Department has an elected commissioner, a full-time staff of four employees, and a Parks & Recreation Commission that serves as an advisory board.
