Parris N. Glendening Recreation Complex
Located at Shaw Street and Rynex Avenue this 27-acre complex has seven athletic fields, two outdoor basketball courts, two pavilions, a handicap accessible playground, two fishing ponds that are annually stocked with trout by the Maryland DNR Fisheries, and a looped, half-mile walking trail. Pavilions and fields are available for rentals.
Frostburg Community Park
Located on South Water Street this park has two baseball fields, two pavilions, an outdoor basketball court, a playground, and a 420,000 gallon swimming pool with a bathhouse. The pavilions and fields are available for rentals and the pool is available for private pool party rentals during the summer season after normal operating hours.
West End Park
Located at West Mechanic Street and Wenck’s Lane, this park has a large pavilion with restrooms as well as plenty of open space.
Calhoun Park (Frostburg Dog Park)
Located on Willow Lane, Calhoun Park is home to the Frostburg Dog Park. It is owned by the City and managed and maintained through an operating agreement by the Upper Potomac Valley Kennel Club. The fenced in area at the dog park is the only public property within City limits that dogs can legally roam unleashed. It has separate fenced sections for larger and smaller dogs. The center section is reserved for dog training by the members of the Upper Potomac Valley Kennel Club. Dog Park events and info are regularly updated on their Facebook page, "Frostburg Dog Park".
City Place
Located at 14 South Water Street, City Place has both a large event hall and a smaller meeting area. It also has the unique capability of hosting indoor and outdoor events by using the landscaped, tiered lot in the rear of the building. City Place is a rental facility with a maximum capacity of 49 persons in the meeting room and 299 persons in the entire facility .
Frostburg Armory
Located on Lower Consol Road, the Armory is a full size gymnasium/basketball court. The Armory is available for rentals.
Frostburg Community Center
Located at 27 South Water Street, Frostburg Community Center houses the Frostburg Senior Center 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday. The event hall (with a well-equipped kitchen) has a maximum capacity of 299 persons and is available for rental outside of Senior Center hours, which are Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm, and is a great option for catered events or parties.
Frostburg Rifle/Pistol Range
Located west of Frostburg at Clifton Terrace just off US Rt. 40, the range has a four 100 yd covered firing lanes with three bench rests, one 200 yd covered firing lane with a bench rest, and a covered five lane, 25 meter pistol range. Public hours are the 1st and 3rd weekends of every month from 11am to 4pm from March through November.
Mt. Pleasant Street Park
Located at Maryland Avenue and Mt. Pleasant St., this park has a playground and a little league softball/baseball field.
East End Park
Located at Cemetery Lane and McCulloh Street, this park has a large playground and a indoor pavilion area equipped with restrooms and a small kitchen area for parties or gatherings.
Great Allegheny Passage
Just off of Depot Street, the Frostburg Trail switchback drops riders down to the Frostburg trailhead of the Great Allegheny Passage on the Allegheny Highlands Trail. An excellent opportunity for biking, walking, and sightseeing, the trail is an excellent recreational facility that runs from Cumberland, MD to Pittsburgh, PA. and connects to the C&O Trail running to Washington D.C.
