Department of Public Works
The Public Works Department is responsible for the water, sewer, and street infrastructure within the City of Frostburg.
Current projects include construction to rehabilitate the Savage Raw Water collection system, where a portion of Frostburg's water is sourced from. Phase I of this project was completed as of September 2014. Phase II of the project started in September of 2014.
Phase VII-B-1 of the Combined Sewer Overflow Elimination Project was completed in March 2014. Phase VII-B-2 in the Paul Street area is currently under construction. Any questions about ongoing or planned projects may be directed to Public Works staff listed below.
As part of the City's ongoing efforts to eliminate stormwater from the sewer system, please disconnect any rain leaders/downspouts and/or foundation drains that may be connected to a sewer line. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and continued patience as these improvements are underway.
